The Best Nike Air Max 95s of All Time

Published: by Jack Aldrich

First launched in 1995 and designed by Sergio Lozano, the Nike Air Max 95 has become one of the most popular sneakers to hail from the Swoosh brand. Inspired by trail-running sneakers and the human anatomy, the model showcased a significant change in design language for the Air Max series, setting it apart from any competition at the time. Often referred to as “110s” in the UK, the sneakers have developed a cult fan base over the years, and are still the preferred silhouette for footwear fans far and wide. We’ve seen thousands of different colourways launch to the masses, as well as rare collaborations with the likes of Corteiz, atmos and COMME des GARÇONS.

Here at Crepslocker we’re huge fans of the Air Max 95, so it’s only right that we shared our favourite pairs of all time with our readers. Whether you’re a lifelong AM95 fan or totally new to the model, be sure to read on to learn about some of the greatest pairs of all time! While you’re with us, check out the latest footwear drops amongst our new-in section too.

Air Max 95 Parra

Parra x Nike Air Max 95 "Running Man"

Launched back in 2008 as part of a collaboration with Dutch artist Parra (not to be confused with Patta, although the two do have a close affiliation), the Nike Air Max 95 “Running Man” showcases a playful colour scheme. Offering up hits of baby blue, pink and burgundy, the kicks are placed atop of a black sole unit, with a gum rubber outsole completing the look. Custom branding resides at the tongues, while classic Air Max motifs are present at the heels. They sure don’t make them like this anymore!

Nike Air Max 95 Freddy Krueger

While the controversial and highly-desirable Nike SB Dunk Low “Freddy Krueger” is one of the rarest and most expensive sneakers in the world, the Air Max 95 version is easily one of the best and easily-obtainable options out there. Decking out the popular AM95 silhouette in Krueger’s signature colour scheme, these Air Max were a limited-edition release back in 2020 for halloween, however they can be picked up relatively easily on the resale market. Definitely one for the sneaker collectors out there – a future classic!

Corteiz x Nike Air Max 95

Not many brands can secure a Nike partnership after just a few years in business, however if anyone was going to do it, it was going to be Corteiz. The UK-based label has quickly ascended to fame and has become known for its epic streetwear collections and guerilla marketing tactics. Early 2023 saw the label team up with the Swoosh to launch three different colourways of the Air Max 95, with all three critically acclaimed by sneaker fans around the globe. Collaborations don’t get much better than this!

atmos x Nike Air Max 95 Animal

atmos x Nike Air Max 95 "Animal"

Launched in 2018 as part of a fresh collaborative capsule with Tokyo-based sneaker store atmos, the Nike Air Max 95 “Animal” offers up an eye-catching look that’s based on the OG pair from back in 2007. Multiple different faux-fur patterns are featured across the upper which is the key focal point of the kicks. Red and green Swoosh logos complete the design, while a white midsole underfoot conceals multiple Air Max cushioning units. If you’re after a wild pair of kicks then these will certainly hit the mark.

Nike Air Max 95 OG Neon

While rare collaborations and limited-edition colourways might be great, sometimes you just can’t beat the OG. That’s certainly the case with the Nike Air Max 95, as the “Neon” pair is easily one of the greatest to ever do it! The simple yet effective colour scheme showcases hits of vibrant green amongst grey, white and black base layers, with Nike Air branding and range-specific logos present across the design. Finished with a black sole unit, this is a pair that every sneakerhead needs to have within their collection!
