Kanye West’s partnership with adidas (commonly known as Yeezy) has dominated the sneaker market over the last eight years, with the brand still favoured by many footwear fans around the globe today. Although the duo may no longer be working together, it’s impossible to ignore the legacy that was built over the years, with some of the greatest sneaker silhouettes in recent history unveiled as part of the Yeezy range. Today we’re looking specifically at the Yeezy Boost 700, perhaps one of the best pairs to have come from the partnership.
Unveiled in 2017, the Yeezy 700 signified the birth of a new era for Kanye and adidas, offering a totally fresh take on design. Unlike the sleek and streamlined pairs that had come before, the 700 showcased a retro-inspired look, with a bulky design and in-your-face colours used throughout. After countless different renditions and even a revised V2 edition, the Yeezy 700 is still a firm favourite for many. So just how does the Yeezy Boost 700 fit? Read on for more right here at Crepslocker, as we’re answering the question once and for all!
How Does the Yeezy Boost 700 Fit?
Like most Yeezys, the Yeezy Boost 700 fits a little small compared to most other sneakers on the market. If you’re new to buying Yeezys this might come as a surprise, however those that own other pairs can sleep easy knowing that these are no different. For a comfortable fit in the 700s, we’d recommend taking a half size up from your regular size, unless you have particularly wide feet, in which case a whole size should do! If possible, we’d always recommend trying sneakers on in store, although if you can’t – follow our advice and you should be in the safe zone!
How Does the Yeezy Boost 700 Fit Compared to Other Sneakers?
As mentioned above, if you have other Yeezy sneakers - the good news is that the Yeezy 700 will fit almost identically to those. In regards to other adidas sneakers, it can differ. The 700s are similar in size to the Ultraboost, however nothing like a Superstar or a Samba. If you’re usually a Nike head, then you might have to switch things up in terms of sizing if you’re moving onto the Yeezy 700. We’d recommend half a size up from practically any Nike sneaker, except the Air Force 1, as you’ll need to take a full size up from those. Like we said above, it’s always best to try sneakers in-store, however this isn’t always possible – the best we can do is advise!
How to Style the Yeezy Boost 700?
Being a bulky and retro-styled silhouette, the Yeezy 700 works amazingly well with streetwear outfits, especially those that incorporate baggier trousers. For the bottom half we’d opt for jeans, cargo pants or even sweatpants (the baggier the better), with a graphic hoodie on top and a few accessories. In summer months, rock the 700s with basketball-style shorts for a LA-inspired look. Overall, the Yeezy Boost 700 is a versatile sneaker that can hold its own in just about any outfit imaginable!
What Are the Best Yeezy Boost 700 Colourways?
The Yeezy Boost 700 has been treated to some incredible colourways over the years, but it’s impossible not to start with the OG variation. Debuted in 2017, the Yeezy Boost 700 “Wave Runner” is easily one of the best of the bunch. Mixing grey, white and black with hits of orange and teal, the retro-looking runner remains a classic today. Otherwise, “Enflame Amber” and “Faded Azure” are notable V1 colourways. For the sleeker V2, we’re huge fans of the “Tephra” and “Vanta” offerings.
