An Official Look at the Stüssy x Nike Air Flight 89 Low

Published: by Jack Aldrich

First released in 1989 and designed for the basketball court, the Nike Air Flight 89 has transcended into the lifestyle sector over the years, although it hasn’t always been at the peak of popularity. Many sneakerheads prefer the Air Jordan 4, a sneaker that was released in the same year and shares the same midsole tooling as the Air Flight 89. However, things could be set to change, as the legendary Californian streetwear label Stüssy is set to join forces with the Swoosh to release a collaborative take on the Air Flight 89. Previewed in two colourways, “Habanero Red” and “Black/White”, the kicks boast faux-snakeskin details, dual branded embroidery at the tongues and Stüssy S logos on the lateral sides.

The look is finished off with the addition of Nike Air branding on the heels (a sneakerhead’s favourite) and a visible Air unit within the midsole to provide optimum comfort. With both colorways set to drop on the 8th December along with a matching apparel collection, which will you be looking to add to your ever-growing sneaker collection?
