Nike's SNKRS Showcase Unveils a Flurry of New Releases

Published: by Jack Aldrich

Held as part of Paris Fashion Week, Nike’s seasonal SNKRS Showcase event was broadcasted via live stream to millions of footwear fans around the globe. The event unveiled a huge amount of new Swoosh drops that are set to launch over the next year via a number of different locations. Split into four different categories, the range of products covers plenty of bases and features a mix of classic silhouettes from the past right through to never-before seen hybrid models. First up is the “Look of Field” collection, showcasing two football silhouettes reworked as lifestyle sneakers: the Total 90 II and the Gato. Multiple colourways of both were previewed with the Gato set to hit stores during the autumn and the Total 90 II rumoured for next year.

Next up, the Icons collection presents us with some rough and ready outdoor staples. Models such as the Goadome and the Air Rift make a return, paying homage to classic ACG models. The Cult Classics collection presents some more familiar kicks, with the Nike Spiridon OG making its return, along with two Foamposite colourways including the iconic “Galaxy” variation. Finally, the “Maxxed Out” collection consists of multiple Air Max Sunder colourways, the Air Max TL 2.5 and the brand-new Air Waffle Racer, a hybrid that pulls from both the Waffle Racer and the Air Max Plus (TN). With release dates dotted across the next year, expect Nike to pull out all the stops with these upcoming pairs.
